What is QuarryQuill?

QuarryQuill is a workspace for small UK construction contractors and specialist trades to keep worker and subcontractor records, documents, expiry dates, site records and evidence together. It tracks the records you enter; it does not assess whether they meet a law, client rule or site-specific requirement.

What can I record about workers and subcontractors?

A person record can include a name, whether they are a worker or subcontractor, their trade or role, and contact details. Add certificate or training documents with their expiry dates to keep those details with the relevant record.

Can I store certificates and track their expiry dates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add a named certificate, insurance or training document, upload its file and enter its expiry date. QuarryQuill shows whether a saved document is current, expiring soon or expired. Documents due within 30 days are marked as expiring soon.

Question 4

Does QuarryQuill send renewal reminders?

Accepted Answer

No. QuarryQuill does not send email or SMS reminders. The workspace shows document expiry status and lets you record a renewal follow-up status and next follow-up date. Send any renewal message yourself, then update its follow-up details in the workspace.

Can I keep site records and photos?

The Sites area stores a site name, address and notes. You can also attach dated site photos, with an optional caption, to a worker or subcontractor record. Those photos can be included when you generate a PDF pack from selected records.

What goes into a site-pack PDF?

Accepted Answer

Choose one or more active worker and subcontractor records to make a downloadable PDF pack. It lists the selected record and document details and includes its attached site photos. Each saved pack is a snapshot; generate a new one when you need a later version.

What can I import or export with CSV?

Accepted Answer

CSV import adds worker and subcontractor people records, including names, record types, trades or roles and optional contact details. It does not import certificate files or expiry dates; add those to the relevant records in the workspace. CSV export downloads active compliance-register data and can be filtered by person, record type and expiry status.

Does QuarryQuill confirm that my business is compliant?

Accepted Answer

No. QuarryQuill helps you organise records, dates and site evidence, but it does not decide which documents a client or site requires or certify that your business meets those requirements. Check the requirements that apply to each project.

Create a QuarryQuill workspace, add worker and subcontractor records, then attach the documents and expiry dates you want to track. You can add site information and generate a PDF pack when you need one.
